One of the challenges in performing paint analysis is examining multi-layered paint samples as can be found on cars and trucks.
The forensic analysis of glass involves determining whether two or more samples share the same physical properties, and whether they are consistent with sharing a common origin. Such determinations are based on the comparison of color, shape, fluorescence, refractive index and density.
