Forensic Pathology and Neuropathology

The Science of Interpreting Injuries

Forensic pathologists are most frequently called upon to opinion on injuries found in the deceased. However, given their experience in injury interpretation and mechanisms responsible for producing injuries, they are also consulted regarding injuries on the living.

Pathology is a Critical Aspect of our Forensic Investigations

We are firm believers in the value of pathology expertise in the forensic science tool bag. It’s obvious how pathology is relevant in cause-of-death cases. However, pathology expertise is also invaluable when consulting and reviewing cases from our firearms, crime scene, and DNA casework.

Dr. Haddix frequently collaborates with our other analysts (i.e. criminalistsDNA analysts, etc). Dr. Haddix has been qualified as an expert in forensic pathology, injury interpretation, and injury production.

Our pathologist holds board certifications by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and forensic pathology. Dr. Haddix has received subspecialty training in neuropathology (disease processes involving the brain, spinal cord, skeletal muscle and peripheral nerve) and is also board-certified in neuropathology.
